Richard A. Filippone, Ph.D.
CEO

Dr. Filippone received his M.A. and Ph. D. degrees in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. He is qualified to practice in the fields of Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology, and is licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York.

Dr. Filippone was the Clinical Neuropsychologist and Program Manager of the Brain Trauma Program at Hackensack Medical Center’s Institute for Child Development. With his extensive background as both practitioner and educator, he has been a Clinical Field Supervisor of the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Filippone’s ability to speak fluent Spanish and Italian helps him to serve a wide diversity of clients.

Dr. Filippone has extensive experience in the application of professional psychology and neuropsychology to workers comp related injuries. He is an expert in establishing medical necessity, accident relatedness, and certification of injury related treatment plans for acquired mental health and behavioral disorders. He has served as an expert examiner and witness in the areas of PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and vocational disability in many court jurisdictions.

Dr. Filippone’s knowledge of medico-legal issues has led to the formulation of treatment protocols at Work Comp Psych Net that bridge the needs of injured employees, their employers and insurance company or TPA claims adjusters.

Having served as an award-winning Medical Consultant for the federal Social Security Administration’s Division of Disability Determinations, Dr. Filippone has unique competence in vocational disability related issues such as proportional disability, permanence and residual functional capacity.

Under Dr. Filippone’s direction, Work Comp Psych Net is dedicated to providing New Jersey’s injured workers with treatment that ensures their recovery is sooner, faster and smarter.

 

Mary Ann Kezmarsky, Ph.D.
President

Dr. Kezmarsky received her Doctorate in Psychology from Seton Hall University. She is an active lecturer and has made numerous professional presentations on issues pertaining to neuropsychology and psychology. She has served on a number of panels for workers’ compensation injuries, motor vehicle accidents and Independent Medical Examinations. She has served as an expert witness for medico-legal issues in workers’ compensation, personal injury and malpractice suits.

Licensed as a psychologist in New Jersey with a specialty in neuropsychology, Dr. Kezmarsky has proven business and professional leadership expertise as seen in her prior responsibilities as Senior Neuropsychologist and Clinical Coordinator of the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute -Center for Head Injuries, Administrative Director of Cambridge Rehabilitation Services and as a Member of the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors. Fluent in French, she has over 30 years experience in hospitals, mental health clinics, colleges and public schools and has been in private practice since 1991.

Dr. Kezmarsky’s clinical research interests include diagnostic, prognostic and treatment issues pertaining to the minimally responsive patient, mild traumatic brain injury and the needs of the family of the traumatically brain injured person. Her clinical work with catastrophic and serious injuries extends from 1986.

Under her direction, the treatment records at WCPN address all legal issues related to an injured worker’s projected length of needed care, maximum medical improvement, return to work prognosis, and disability status.
